Will Geely PH sell the Panda Mini EV?
A mini EV from Geely could soon populate Philippine roads in the future

Around two years ago, Geely launched its cutest EV yet with the Panda Mini EV. Revealed under the Geome sub-brand (formerly Geometry), the Panda Mini EV combines cute looks, an efficient electric powertrain, and bags of character to attract EV customers.

Now, it looks like we can expect the mini EV to make its way soon to Philippine roads. The Department of Energy (DOE) recently updated its list of recognized EVs and we managed to see the Geome Panda on the list. More interestingly, its exact variant is the Panda Knight which serves as the more rugged version of the mini EV.
Based on the DOE listing, the Panda Knight EV measures 3135mm long, 1565mm wide, and 1655mm tall. It also has a gross vehicle weight of 803 kg which means it has a light curb weight. It has a 17.03 kWh battery pack and a single electric motor that makes 30 kW or 40 PS.

More importantly, its charging connector is CCS Type 2 which means it can recharge almost anywhere, including fast DC chargers. Range-wise, the Panda Knight in other markets can travel for up to 200 km on a single charge.
No other details regarding the Panda Knight EV are available. But given that it's already listed in the DOE, perhaps Geely Motor Philippines Corporation plans to join the mini EV segment real soon. The only question now is, when can we expect them to launch it officially?
