Geely Panda Knight wants to be a go-anywhere EV

Late last year, just before Christmas, Geely sub-brand Geometry revealed a cute (and boxy) EV in the form of the all-new 2023 Panda. Aimed at attracting the younger market, the Panda EV is available in bright colors, comes with amenities like a panoramic sunroof & touchscreen infotainment, and an electric powertrain that provides 40 PS along an an estimated range of 150 km.

While the four-seater Panda EV looks cute in its regular form, the automaker has also thought of making it look like a go-anywhere 4x4 vehicle. Enter the Panda Knight which swaps the adorable looks of the standard model for an off-road-inspired design.

Looking a lot more like a pint-sized version of the Suzuki Jimny (or Ford Bronco from certain angles), the 4x4-inspired Panda Knight gets a new face courtesy of a faux grille finished in black that complements the round LED headlights. It also gets off-road style bumpers and wider fender extensions courtesy of additional body cladding.

Further adding to the vehicle's 4x4-inspired aesthetic are the lime green accents on the recovery points, hood handles, grille inserts, and roof rails. The Panda Knight even comes with a side ladder, although we're not entirely sure if it will see any use given its small height. Rounding up the exterior changes are the new alloy wheels which are unique to the Panda Knight.

The interior largely carries over from the regular model although the cabin's theme reflects the Panda Knight's exterior. That means the interior finish will be similar to the exterior color chosen by a customer. When it comes to amenities, the Panda Knight comes with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster, air-conditioning, and faux leather upholstery.

Like the regular Panda, the vehicle is powered by a single electric motor that puts out 40 PS and is paired with a larger 17.03 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery. This gives the tiny Panda Knight a range of around 200 km on a full charge.
