MIAS 2026: Jaecoo J5 HEV is priced to compete; starts at PHP 999K
OJPH wants to stir the B-SUV market with the J5 HEV

After announcing its upcoming electrified crossover earlier this year, Omoda Jaecoo Motor Philippines (OJPH) is present at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) with its newest offering.
Making its official debut is the Jaecoo J5 HEV, and it’s OJPH’s most affordable hybrid crossover yet. Powered by the brand’s Super Hybrid System (SHS), the J5 HEV combines SUV-inspired design with an electrified powertrain that guarantees fewer trips to the pumps, while also delivering extra power without the guilt.

Under the hood of the J5 HEV is a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four that’s assisted by an electric motor and a 1.83 kWh battery pack. This gives the J5 HEV a total system output of 224 PS and 295 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) that drives the front wheels.
On a full tank of gasoline and with the hybrid system working alongside the engine, Jaecoo says the J5 HEV can average up to 5.3L per 100 km or 18.8 km/L. The automaker also claimed the J5 HEV has a combined range of over 1,000 km.

Size-wise, the J5 HEV measures 4380mm long, 1860mm wide, 1650mm tall, and has a 2620mm wheelbase. Despite being a FWD hybrid crossover, the J5 HEV has an approach angle of 19.4 degrees and a departure angle of 30 degrees. It also has a minimum ground clearance of 176mm and a water wading depth of up to 450mm.
As mentioned before, the J5 HEV features a “Baby Land Rover”-inspired design with its distinct grille, sleek LED headlights, stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, Range Rover Sport-like LED taillights, and black body cladding on the rear bumper.

All variants of the J5 HEV come with a 13.2-inch tablet-inspired touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. It also has a digital instrument cluster in front of the driver that can display various vehicle parameters and information. Instead of a traditional gear selector on the center console, the J5 HEV comes with an electronic column shifter, which frees up space between the front seats.
A panoramic sunroof comes as standard in the Premium variants, along with leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The J5 HEV is also pet-friendly, thanks to its anti-bacterial and scratch-resistant materials. Other pet-friendly accessories include a pet net for the rear luggage area, a pet mat, a food bowl, and a pet cage to take your furry friend with you.

Other available amenities include front & rear center armrests, dual-zone climate control, a 50W wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, a power tailgate, a 360-degree camera system (or a reverse camera on lesser variants), front & rear parking sensors, and a host of airbags.

The Jaecoo J5 HEV is available in the following prices and variants:
J5 HEV Comfort - PHP 999,000
J5 HEV Luxury - PHP 1,109,000

However, those who plan to get one during MIAS 2026 will get an exclusive PHP 10,000 cash discount, a premium accessory upgrade, and a 7-year/200,000 km full vehicle warranty and 8-year/160,000 km electric powertrain warranty.
