Cat's Out Of The Bag: GWM PH to launch Ora 03 EV
The Ora 03 EV is set to undercut the Nissan Leaf once it's officially launched

The Tank 300 wasn't the only vehicle GWM previewed to the Philippine market today. Aside from the go-anywhere 4x4, GWM distributor Luxuriant Automotive Group Inc. also held a special preview of the Ora 03 EV.
Also called the Good Cat in other markets, the Ora 03 is an all-electric vehicle that takes on the form of a retro-styled hatchback with a modern-looking interior, along with a zero-emissions powertrain.

Blending cute design and retro aesthetics, the Ora 03 is quite the dashing hatchback. With a round set of headlights at the front, a teardrop-shaped side profile, and a unique tailgate at the back, the EV is a looker in every angle.

Inside, the Ora 03 comes with a pair of digital monitors – one is the instrument display while the other is the touchscreen media system. It also has a leather-lined interior complete with contrast stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multi-function buttons, and toggle switches on the center dashboard that control the HVAC system. Did we mention it also gets a rotary-style gear selector?

No powertrain specifications have been revealed just yet. However, GWM PH did say that there will be two variants available in the country. One has 370 km of range while the top-spec variant will have 500 km of range. As for its electric propulsion, it will likely get a single electric motor that puts out 145 with 210 Nm of torque.

There is no pricing available yet for the Ora 03. The company did mention that they plan to price the Ora 03 below the Nissan Leaf which currently retails for PHP 1.998 million. That means we can expect the Ora 03 to undercut Nissan by a few or several thousand Pesos once it's officially launched to the public.
