Watch out Raize, Sonet: Suzuki Fronx makes PH preview
Check out the Suzuki Fronx at the Suzuki Matsuri until June 15, 2025

Suzuki Philippines is celebrating its 50th anniversary in a huge way by holding the 2025 Suzuki Matsuri at the SM Mall of Asia. This weekend event not only highlights the brand's half a century history in the country, but it also shows Suzuki's dedication in delivering quality vehicles (and motorcycles) to Filipino customers.

However, the brand also brought a vehicle that is set to take on the likes of the Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet, and the yet-to-be-launched Nissan Magnite. Say hello to the Suzuki Fronx, and it's set to disrupt the A-SUV market. The Suzuki Fronx is currently being previewed for the Philippine market, but we reckon the automaker is already making plans to launch it later this year. After all, the Fronx is now available in Indonesia, which is where Suzuki Philippines might source it.
Back to the vehicle, the Suzuki Fronx is the brand's latest mini crossover that measures less than 4 meters in length. No official specifications are available just yet, although in other markets, the vehicle measures 3995mm in length, 1765mm in width, and 1550mm in height. It also has a 2520mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 170mm.
Style-wise, the Suzuki Fronx features a sporty and aggressive exterior. The front fascia is dominated by a dual-port grille along with LED daytime running lights. It also comes with bumper-mounted headlights that give the crossover a more dynamic appearance. The rear, meanwhile, gets an LED light bar, wraparound LED taillights, and a rakish roofline that gives the Suzuki Fronx a sportier look. Also worth mentioning are the flared wheel arches, black body cladding, faux front & rear skid plates, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, and a two-tone exterior finish.

Powertrain specifications are also not yet available, but based on a recent regulatory approval, the Suzuki Fronx could be available with two engine options. First is the 1.5L naturally aspirated K15B four-cylinder engine that makes 105 PS and 138 Nm of torque. Transmission choices for this particular engine include a four-speed automatic and a five-speed manual gearbox.
The other engine is the 1.5L K15C inline-four, which has already been confirmed for the Philippine market. It benefits from the brand's SHVS mild-hybrid system and puts out 103 PS with 137 Nm of torque. It can then be mated to either a six-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. Its 48V mild-hybrid system consists of an integrated starter generator that's helped by a lithium-ion battery pack. This gives the Fronx several fuel-saving features, such as regenerative braking and auto start/stop while idling.

In-car amenities that we can expect from the Suzuki Fronx include a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, leather or fabric upholstery, automatic climate control with rear vents, a reverse camera, a wireless charging pad, and rear USB charging ports. High-grade models of the Suzuki Fronx could also come with ADAS for extra peace of mind while on the road.

Other details about the Fronx will be revealed at a later date. For now, you can check out the 2025 Suzuki Fronx at the Main Mall of the SM Mall of Asia until June 15, 2025.
