Suzuki PH to offer four variants of 2025 Fronx?
The 2025 Suzuki Fronx could come with a naturally aspirated 1.5L and a 1.5L mild-hybrid powertrain

We already know that Suzuki Philippines Inc. is set to preview its latest crossover this week. In fact, they will hold a special preview of the 2025 Fronx this weekend in celebration of the brand's 50th anniversary in the country.
For now, Suzuki Philippines is keeping its cards close to its chest as they have yet to reveal other details about the Fronx. However, we have received new information about its possible variants and powertrains. This comes after Suzuki Philippines received regulatory approval for an upcoming passenger vehicle that's powered by a 1462cc gasoline engine, which translates to a displacement of 1.5 liters.

In Indonesia, where the Suzuki Fronx recently made its ASEAN debut, the crossover is available with two 1.5L engines, the K15B and the K15C, with the latter benefiting from the brand's mild-hybrid tech called SHVS. Both the K15B and K15C engines have an exact displacement of 1462cc and almost the same output figures. The K15B puts out 105 PS with 138 Nm of torque, while the K15C produces 103 PS with 137 Nm of torque.
As mentioned earlier, the K15C comes with the brand's mild-hybrid technology, which consists of an integrated starter generator (ISG) that recoups energy to provide faster acceleration while under load. It also allows for auto start/stop to save on fuel while idling. The K15B can be paired to a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual gearbox, while the K15C can be mated to either a six-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission.

Based on the listing we found, it looks like the Fronx will be offered in four distinct variants. That means we could expect the 2025 Fronx to come with a five-speed manual base version, four-speed automatic variants, and perhaps a top-of-the-line version that gets the 1.5L SHVS with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
With the 2025 Suzuki Fronx set to make its first appearance this weekend, we'll be curious to know more about the upcoming crossover.
