Not C-HR: Subaru unveils 2026 Uncharted EV
Subaru Uncharted being offered in front-wheel-drive and optional all wheel drive dual motor

Toyota and Subaru have long been working on vehicles together. From the first GT86 and BRZ, the two have went on to collaborate on electric vehicles with the bZ4X and Solterra.
Earlier in the year, Toyota revealed the all-new, all-electric C-HR. Now it’s time for its Subaru-badged twin to take spotlight with the Uncharted EV.

Yup, it has an identical name to a popular PlayStation action game series, and the all-new Uncharted EV slots below the bigger Solterra in Subaru’s electric crossover lineup.
The overall shape and silhouette of the Uncharted is identical to its C-HR twin with the sloping roofline and sharp character lines, but the front fascia features unique Subaru elements including the heavy use of black cladding on the exterior.

Inside, the C-HR and Uncharted shares the same dashboard layout, albeit with a different choice of material colors and interior trimmings. The Uncharted has a black, orange, and white motif, while the launch-spec C-HR featured more gray and teal elements. Perhaps the biggest difference is the steering wheel, as Toyota opted for a more conventional shape rather than the Uncharted’s Formula style steering wheel.

As with the C-HR, the Subaru Uncharted has a choice of a single-motor, front wheel drive, and a dual motor all wheel drive version, but both have a 74.4 kWh battery pack. The single motor puts out 224 PS, with Subaru claiming a range of over 480 km. The dual motor, on the other hand, puts out 342 PS and has a range of up to 466 km.
Since North America is getting first dibs of the Uncharted, the Subaru EV comes with a Tesla-style NACS charging port as standard, and could top up its batteries from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes with a 150 kW DC charger.

Subaru however promises a different drive experience in the Uncharted compared to the C-HR, as the brand developed a unique chassis tune, while all-wheel-drive models benefit from Subaru’s X-mode for loose surface applications.
The Uncharted will go on sale by early 2026 in the United States, but no announcements yet if the model will be offered in markets outside it. Should Subaru PH consider offering this in the country? Let us know in the comments.
