Nissan Hyper Punk concept is a creative studio on wheels
Hyper Punk concept is Nissan's idea of a creative studio on wheels

Nissan is about to wrap up the preview of its mobility concepts ahead of this year's inaugural Japan Mobility Show. Saving the best for last, their fourth EV concept is apparently for those who want their own mobile creative studio.
They have unveiled the Nissan Hyper Punk concept that will make its physical debut at next week's show. Showing off a compact crossover body style, Nissan says the all-electric vehicle is tailored for content creators, influencers, artists, and those who embrace style and innovation.

The exterior is defined by multiple polygonal surfaces that break off from usual crossover designs, and those huge 23-inch wheels. According to Nissan, this represents the user's desire for self-expression and breaking conventional wisdom, as well as showing Nissan's progressive approach to introducing new technologies and designs.

Inside, there are origami-styled elements that mirror Japanese taste. This creates an interior space where digital and art are fused together. Having a highly customizable cabin, the onboard cameras can capture the scenery around the car and use AI to convert to manga-style scenery or graphic patterns according to the owner's preferences. The imagery can then be projected on a three-screen display arranged around the driver in the cockpit, creating a space where reality and the world of the metaverse are fused together.

Meanwhile, the cabin provides seamless internet connectivity and can link to occupants’ devices and creative equipment, enabling users to access information or create on the go. The vehicle’s V2X system ensures that users can run and charge their devices anytime and anywhere, while also sharing the vehicle’s energy with collaborators and local community events.

Furthermore, the Nissan Hyper Punk concept can detect the driver’s mood and automatically select the right music and lighting with AI and headrest biosensors, designed to boost the driver’s energy and creativity.

Along with the Hyper Tourer concept, the Hyper Punk concept will be displayed physically at the Japan Mobility show, while the Hyper Urban and Hyper Adventure concepts will be shown digitally at Nissan's JMS booth.
