Next-generation Toyota Tamaraw will not get cab & chassis version
Toyota will also make custom body styles for specific customer needs

Ever since Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) gave us an early glimpse of the next-generation Tamaraw, we've been curious if the automaker will offer a cab & chassis version of the all-new workhorse. With the Tamaraw set to wear many hats, customers who are planning to get one in the future may already have plans to customize it to their liking.
Unfortunately, the all-new Tamaraw will not be available as a cab & chassis. Speaking with an anonymous source, they shared that the all-new Tamaraw range will only begin with the short wheelbase dropside pickup truck gas variant which will retail below PHP 800,000. When asked regarding a cab & chassis variant, they told us that no such variant would be offered.
The reason behind this is that TMP already has a new body conversion facility that can attach regular or customized bodies for the all-new Tamaraw. Customers who wish to get a Tamaraw with a specific body style can get special conversion options from TMP Conversion & Accessories (TMPCA) and Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines (TMPSH).

As mentioned before, both TMPCA and TMPSH can make custom bodies for specific needs. From patrol vans to ambulances, to refrigerated vans and camping cars, as well as a food truck and pet grooming services, Toyota can provide customers with unique builds right from the factory.
As far as future plans are concerned for a possible cab & chassis variant for the all-new Tamaraw, our source mentioned that for now, TMP is focused on making all custom bodies in-house.
The next-generation Toyota Tamaraw will officially be launched on December 6, 2024, and the automaker expects to produce between 18,000 to 22,000 units annually.
