New CALAX Silang Aguinaldo section serving over 10K motorists
CALAX Silang Aguinaldo exceeds the projected 5,000 vehicles passing through it daily

After opening the new 4-km CALAX Silang Aguinaldo segment earlier this month, MPCALA Holdings Inc., the concessionaire of CALAX, announced that the newly opened section of the expressway is serving an average of over 10,000 motorists.
The 4-km portion of CALAX, which directly links to Aguinaldo Highway and seamlessly connects motorists to destinations such as Tagaytay, Silang, Dasmarinas, and other nearby cities/municipalities has exceeded the projected 5,000 vehicles it will serve daily. In fact, the highest daily average of motorists using the new segment has surpassed 11,000 vehicles.
With that, MPCALA Holdings Inc. stated that construction of the remaining portion of the CALAX Cavite segment continues in full swing. The next interchange will extend from Silang Aguinaldo to Governor’s Drive in General Trias and will be 7.9 km in length. As of late, more than 95% of the right-of-way for this segment has already been acquired, and the team has already begun earthworks and bridge constructions.

“Governor’s Drive will be the second-longest segment of CALAX, spanning almost 8 km in length. We target to open it to the motoring public before the end of 2024. Through this interchange, we aspire to revolutionize our motorist travel experience, by connecting communities and helping improve the economy of the region,” said Raul L. Ignacio, president & General Manager of MPCALA.
Once the entire stretch of CALAX is completed, it will span 45 km by 2025 and will feature 8 interchanges; Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, Silang (Aguinaldo), Governor’s Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit. More importantly, CALAX will soon seamlessly connect with CAVITEX, further linking the province of Laguna and Cavite with ease.
