CALAX Silang Aguinaldo Interchange opens Nov 8, 2023
Heading to Silang and Tagaytay City via CALAX will soon be faster and more convenient

After announcing that subsection 4 of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX) was already 91% complete last August 2023, MPCALA Holdings Inc (MHI), the concessionaire of CALAX has announced the opening of the Silang Aguinaldo Interchange of the expressway.
At exactly 12:00 AM on November 8, 2023, the new 3.9-km subsection of CALAX will be opened to motorists and is set to improve travel time for motorists in the region. More importantly, motorists will be able to navigate the new subsection at no cost, providing free passage until further notice. You read right, those who will drive on the new CALAX section will only be charged up to Silang East, marking a customer-centric approach to travel on the expressway.

“We're thrilled about this CALAX expansion, which will not only make life easier for our motorists but also boost the local economy. By providing a quicker and more convenient route to popular destinations in Cavite, we're creating opportunities for businesses to thrive and for families to make the most of their time together,” said Raul Ignacio, president and GM of MHI.
Once the Silang Aguinaldo Interchange is officially opened to the public later this week, it's expected to cater to an additional 5,000 motorists daily. It will also offer a faster route to the emerging tourism destinations in Silang, Cavite, as well as Tagaytay City.

In the future, CALAX will further expand to a total of 45 kilometers by 2024 and will feature 8 interchanges: Technopark, Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, Silang (Aguinaldo), Governor's Drive, Open Canal, and Kawit Interchange. Eventually, CALAX will connect to the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) in Kawit, seamlessly linking the key regions.
The next time you have a trip to Silang or Tagaytay City, you will be able to take the CALAX Silang Interchange this coming Wednesday.
