LEAKED: Is this the all-new Suzuki Dzire?
Just like the all-new Swift, the Suzuki Dzire is set for a full model change it seems

Ever since the all-new Suzuki Swift made its debut in Japan, Europe, and India, we couldn't help but speculate as to when the next-generation hatchback would eventually make its way to the Philippines. But with Suzuki set to close the Rayong plant in Thailand by the end of the year, the company would have to source the all-new Swift elsewhere like India via Maruti.
The automaker has already received regulatory approval for a passenger vehicle powered by an 1197cc (or 1.2L) with a reference weight of 985 kg. With that, it seems Suzuki Philippines may already be making the necessary preparations for the next-generation Swift. However, they are keeping their cards close as they have yet to make any official announcements about it.
But even before the all-new Swift makes its debut in the Philippines, it looks like its sedan sibling will be revealed in India soon. This comes after leaked photos of what could be the next-generation Suzuki Dzire have made their way to the internet.
Based on the photos available, the supposed next-generation Dzire will receive a glow-up. It gets a vastly different front fascia that no longer follows the design of the Swift hatchback. Instead, it gets a more upright design that's complemented by a pair of sleek headlights and a bigger grille. Also worth mentioning is a new front bumper, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and what looks to be a sunroof/moonroof.

The overall shape of the vehicle appears to have been carried over for the new generation. However, the Dzire gets a sleek pair of what appear to be LED taillights. The trunk lid itself is still quite small but just like the current generation Dzire, we won't be surprised if it will still come with generous luggage space.
Interior pictures are not yet available but it may likely have a similar look to the all-new Swift. That means we could expect the Dzire to get a flat-bottom steering wheel, new gauges on the instrument cluster, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned center console, and perhaps more amenities.
Under the hood, the next-generation Dzire may likely get the same engine as the new Swift – the 1.2L Z12E mild-hybrid three-cylinder engine that benefits from an integrated starter generator (ISG). The engine makes 82 PS with 111 Nm of torque while the ISG provides an extra 3.1 PS and 60 Nm of pull. Transmission choices for the new Dzire will likely include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) dubbed Auto Gear Shift (AGS).
With the leaked images somewhat already confirming the eventual reveal of the all-new Dzire, it might not be long before Maruti officially unveils it.
