JMS 2023: Mitsubishi to preview next-gen Delica concept?
Mitsubishi Motors teases concept for October's Japan Mobility Show

There's still a month to go before the first-ever Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show) goes underway, but Mitsubishi has already given us an idea of what to expect with their display.
The Mitsubishi Motors booth at Tokyo Big Sight is set to have a theme that showcases “ a unique, fulfilling mobility lifestyle that awakens drivers' adventurous spirit”. Along with the press release, the manufacturer also posted a teaser image showing a silhouette of adventurers exploring the great outdoors with a Mitsubishi vehicle.

Speaking of which, the Mitsubishi model appears to be a new one, or even a concept study. The light signature is different, but the key takeaway from the photo is that the vehicle has the silhouette of a high-riding people mover with its flat nose. This leads us to think Mitsubishi may showcase the next-generation Delica concept at next month's Japan Mobility Show.
Indeed, the Delica van is more than ripe for a full model change, as the current model being sold in Japan has been around since 2007. It received a facelift in 2019, and recently it was used as a support vehicle for Mitsubishi Ralliart in the Asia Cross Country Rally.
That being said, we'll keep our eyes peeled for more information in the coming weeks, and we'll make sure to check out Mitsubishi's booth once the Japan Mobility Show opens its doors to the press come October 25.
