Jetour G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition is ready for anything
Jetour makes the G700 more than capable of taking the road less traveled

Last month, Jetour Auto International (JAI) confirmed that the brand's flagship SUV will be launched in the country. This comes after JAI president Ke Chuandeng announced that the Zongheng G700 plug-in hybrid SUV is already lined up for the Philippine market.
With that, perhaps we can expect the Jetour Zongheng G700 to make its way into the country sometime next year. With a combined system output of over 900 PS and 1,135 Nm of torque from its 2.0L plug-in hybrid system, combined with an intelligent 4WD system, the fully-equipped G700 is raring to make short work of the Philippine terrain.
Over in its home market, Jetour just gave the G700 one heck of an upgrade, and boy, we're curious to test it out in the dirt. Say hello to the Jetour G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition, and it's packed with proven rally technologies and upgrades.

Starting with the exterior, the special edition G700 comes with a unique paint finish that's a mix of red and blue hues. It also has reinforced aluminum-magnesium underbody protection to keep the chassis safe over uneven terrain. Jetour also says the material used is better suited for impacts and is capable of withstanding corrosion over the years. The G700 also has 64-stage adjustable nitrogen dampers that deliver better ride and handling, along with Black Bear 265/70 all-terrain tires wrapped in 18-inch alloy wheels.
Powering the Jetour G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition is a 2.0L turbocharged hybrid engine. The inline-four already makes a respectable 210 PS, but thanks to an electric motor providing additional boost, this particular G700 produces a combined 761 PS and a healthy 795 Nm of torque. With that kind of power, the G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition will not have much trouble navigating through any terrain.
Since the rally edition G700 will most likely be available in limited numbers, expect this particular Jetour to be a rare sight. If you happen to see a Jetour G700 that's finished in this particular shade, you're looking at a rally-bred SUV.
