Is the all-new Suzuki Dzire on its way to PH?
The fourth-generation Suzuki Dzire could soon arrive in the Philippines

It was only about a month ago since Suzuki took the covers off the all-new Dzire. Now on its fourth generation, the pint-sized sedan gets a revolutionary redesign inside and out, more standard features across the range like a sunroof, and a new 1.2L three-cylinder engine that's mated to either a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT) dubbed Auto Gear Shift (AGS).
Since Suzuki Philippines Inc. already offers Dzire in the country, we won't be surprised if the next-generation sedan is on its way. But how soon can we expect it to arrive? Well, its Philippine debut could happen very soon.

Recently, Suzuki Philippines Inc. received regulatory approval for a new passenger vehicle. It has a reference weight of between 1075 and 1080 kg and is powered by an 1197cc engine, which translates to 1.2L liters of displacement. After cross-checking the numbers and engine sizes of recently launched Suzuki vehicles worldwide, it looks like the automaker has already secured approval for the next-generation Dzire.
Like the one launched in India last month, the all-new Dzire is now powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder engine called the Z12E. It succeeds the K12C four-cylinder engine but makes almost the same amount of power with 82 PS and 111 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. This engine can also be found in the next-generation Swift which we believe could also be on its way here in the future.

With Suzuki recently getting approval for a new passenger vehicle with an 1197cc engine, it looks like it might not be long before either the all-new Dzire or Swift make their Philippine debut. The only question now is, when can we expect either of the two to arrive in 2025?
