GWM going after Bronco with V6-powered Tank 330
2024 GWM Tank 330 leaked ahead of official launch

Just before the holidays last year, GWM Philippines revealed the official price of the Tank 300. The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4x4 SUV retails for PHP 2.678 million and is packed to the brim with features both inside and out.
With an engine rated to crank out 220 PS and 380 Nm of torque, the Tank 300 has the means to go anywhere. But if customers prefer their Tank 300 with an even more powerful engine under the hood? Well, GWM appears to have already thought about that possibility.
Leaked ahead of its official launch in the People's Republic is the Tank 330, and while it looks the same on the outside, it doesn't have a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Instead, this particular Tank comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.

Compared to the inline-four turbo, the six-cylinder turbo generates a meaty 355 PS along with a whopping 500 Nm of torque. If those figures look familiar, that's because GWM essentially took the Tank 500's V6 engine and put it in the Tank 330. Power is then sent to an 8-speed automatic transmission and is paired with a 4WD system complete with front & rear locking differentials, just like the regular Tank 300.
Style-wise, the Tank 330 looks the same as the Tank 300. However, the V6-powered version is based on the Frontier Limited Edition model which gives it a new front bumper, a black bull bar, beadlock alloy wheels wrapped in mud-terrain tires, rock sliders, a roof spoiler, and a Tank “330” badge on the tailgate.
With the Tank 330 getting a more powerful twin-turbo V6, could we see this variant make its way to the Philippines? And could it go toe-to-toe with the likes of the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler?
