GAC PH to launch 6 new cars 2024; expand to 35 dealers
GAC Motor will add six more vehicles to Philippine lineup in 2024

GAC Motor has laid out some of its plans to make a bigger presence in the Philippine market for 2024.
After the preview of the all-new M6 Pro and M8 minivans, GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt shared that the two are just part of the six new models that GAC will launch next year. While he did not reveal the names of the four models, a quick look at what the Chinese market has could give us some clues about what to expect.

Currently, GAC Motor is yet to have an electrified model in the Philippines. But over in China, there's already a hybrid variant of the Empow sedan and the Emkoo crossover. There's even a plug-in hybrid version of the flagship GS8 SUV called the ES9. The three models were just launched in China in October and November this year, and pretty soon they may find their way here in the country.
Speaking of plug-in hybrids, GAC also has the E9 PHEV that's basically an electrified version of the M8 minivan.

2024 may also be the year when GAC could bring something that's full electric. During our most recent trip to Guangzhou, the brand showcased the Aion lineup of EVs, starting with the high-performance Hyper GT, the S Plus sedan, and the Y Plus compact crossover.

Lastly, 2024 could also see GAC finally add the Empow R sports sedan to the local lineup. It's the more powerful version of the Empow GE that's currently in the market, as it's powered by a bigger 2.0-liter turbo engine with 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Given the popularity of the sporty GS3 Emzoom, the Empow R could be an interesting addition for those who like their cars bold and thrilling.

With six new models coming, GAC will also be busy establishing its dealer networks next year. Decloedt shared they plan to increase the number of their dealerships to 35 by the end of 2024, along with new initiatives to further offer an attractive aftersales program to its new and existing customers.
