2024 GAC M6 Pro: The Innova rival we've been waiting for?
Reservations for the GAC M6 Pro (and M8) are now open for interested customers

GAC Motor PH plans to shake up 2024 with a bevy of new models and dealer expansions. With a highly successful 2023, it’s no wonder both Astara and GAC Motor PH are looking to capitalize on their recent accolades.
Aside from previewing the all-new M8, GAC Motor PH also previewed the M6 Pro. Essentially the refreshed version of the outgoing GN6, this updated MPV gets more than just a nip & tuck as it also comes with several improvements over the pre-facelift version.

Starting with what’s under the hood, the M6 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is coupled to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The engine makes a hefty 177 PS along with 270 Nm of torque. If those figures look familiar, that’s because it now gets the same turbocharged powertrain as the Empow, Emkoo, and GS3 Emzoom.

Over to its design, the M6 Pro gets a more dynamic-looking front end courtesy of redesigned headlights that now come with LED illumination. It also gets a flashier grille which makes the vehicle look even more prominent than ever. We also have to mention the M6 Pro’s stylish 18-inch alloy wheels which are a nice change compared to the 16-inch set found in the GN6.

When it comes to cabin features, the M6 Pro comes fully loaded. It gets dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, leather upholstery, ambient LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8-speaker sound system by DTS.
But perhaps one of the most compelling features of the M6 Pro is the second-row captain seats that come with folding trays, integrated cupholders on the side, as well as USB charging ports which are also located on the side of the seats.

As for the third-row bench, they also come with integrated cupholders as well as USB charging for good measure. It’s also worth mentioning that the third-row bench features a stow-and-go folding mechanism which is something you’d see normally on more expensive minivans. Not only does it make storing cargo easier, but it allows for a more flexible means of carrying cargo alongside third-row passengers if the need arises.

A wide array of safety features will also be available in the M6 Pro. These include a host of airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, and a first aid kit.
The official launch of the GAC M6 Pro will happen in early 2024. However, reservations are now open for the M6 Pro as well as the aforementioned M8 luxury minivan.

As far as pricing is concerned, GAC Motor PH says the M6 Pro will start at around PHP 1.2M to PHP 1.3M for the entry-level GS while the range-topping GL will have a price range between PHP 1.5 to PHP 1.6M.
