First batch of Omoda 5 crossovers has arrived in PH
Omoda 5 will be available in PH in 1.5L turbo and EV versions

After announcing that they will be selling the Omoda 5 for under PHP 1.5 million earlier this year and confirming that there will also be an EV version available in the local market, the automaker has announced that the first batch of the all-new crossover is now in the country.
Months ahead of its official retail schedule, Omoda Philippines has already brought in actual units of the Omoda 5 for pre-launch activities and preview events. This is being done in order to give the motoring public a better glimpse of things to come as well as further prepare its scheduled brand launch before 2023 ends.

Omoda Philippines Country Director Marco Chen who is currently based in Anhui, China, flew to the country to personally inspect the PH-spec units. There will be a total of four variants available; the range-topping 1.5-liter turbo, the entry-level 1.5-liter turbo, the Omoda 5 EV, and the Omoda 5 EV Extended Range (450 km).
“We are excited to finally have the actual Omoda 5 units in the country. This way, we can have an avenue to offer our stakeholders, media partners, and potential clients a full-on experience with the car even before its formal launch. We also have some pre-launch activities in the pipeline that’s geared towards building more confidence with our products”, said Uzzi Asuncion, PH Brand Manager for Omoda and Jaecoo.
Omoda and Jaecoo are scheduled to have their soft launch in the Philippines by year’s end while retail operations will begin in early 2024.
