Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is five-star ANCAP rated
Chery Tiggo 8 Pro scores impressive numbers in AOP, COP, Road User Protection and Safety Assist

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro has been in the Philippine market for quite a while now. But for those who have bought the crossover and those who look to buy one, here’s some news to give you an added peace of mind.
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) has given the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro a perfect five-star safety rating with a good performance across the four key areas of the safety assessment. It achieved 88% in Adult Occupant Protection, 87% in Child Occupant Protection, 79% in Vulnerable Road User Protection and 86% in terms of Safety Assists.
Interestingly, ANCAP only did supplementary pedestrian protection tests on the Tiggo 8 Pro as the safety rating on other tests were based on the results of its partner model, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro that was evaluated last year. Chery provided technical information to show that the test results of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro also apply to the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.
When the Tiggo 7 Pro was evaluated, the crossover's structure combined with its generous number of airbags offered more than adequate protection to all of its passengers. On the other hand, the extensive list of ADAS features such as AEB and Lane Departure Warning garnered high marks in the advanced safety tests.
ANCAP says the safety rating applies to all variants of the Tiggo 8 Pro.
