Chery Tiggo 7 Pro gets five stars in Australasian NCAP test
Australasian New Car Assessment Program awards five-star rating to Chery Tiggo 7 Pro

Not all vehicles are made the same, so they say.
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) has released another report from its recent test. Recently, they gave a zero-star rating to the MG5, (aka the MG GT in the Philippines). This time, another Chinese vehicle that's also being sold in the Philippines has been tested, but it yielded a different result.
The vehicle we're talking about is the Tiggo 7 Pro. It's Chery's compact crossover in the country, and recently the brand added a mild hybrid to its list of variants. Using the 2023-2025 test criteria, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro successfully demonstrated its capabilities in terms of safety, as ANCAP gave it a perfect five-star rating.

According to ANCAP, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro demonstrated a good balance of all-round performance across the four key areas of the safety assessment, where it achieved 88% in Adult Occupant Protection, 87% in Child Occupant Protection, 72% in Vulnerable Road User Protection and 86% in terms of Safety Assists.
The crossover's structure combined with its generous number of airbags offered more than adequate protection to all of its passengers. Meanwhile, the extensive list of ADAS features such as AEB and Lane Departure Warning gave the Tiggo 7 Pro a good performance in terms of advanced safety tests. Of note, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro was the first model tested in ANCAP that offers a safety escape hammer to assist with window exit, garnering points for window opening functionality when submerged in water.

In the Philippines, the Tiggo 7 Pro is one of Chery's best-selling models. Those who have already bought the crossover should have peace of mind that they are driving one of the safest vehicles on the road today.
