CAVITEX, C5 Link 30-day toll holiday starts July 1, 2024
30-day toll holiday in all exits of the CAVITEX for all vehicle classes

Last week, during the inauguration of the CAVITEX-C5 Link Sucat Interchange, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. directed the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) to immediately implement a 30-day toll fee holiday at CAVITEX, as recommended by the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) – the joint venture partner of Cavite Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) in the said tollway.
Today, CIC has announced that the 30-day toll holiday will begin on July 1, 2024.
“We will fully implement a 30-day toll holiday in all exits of the CAVITEX for all vehicle classes, supporting the decision of the Toll Regulatory Board. This will help our motorists with the rising cost of fuel and inflation,” said CIC President and General Manager, Raul Ignacio.
Segments covered

The tollway segments that will enjoy toll-free journeys for all vehicle classes are expressway exits in Kawit, Paranaque, C5 Link segment Merville and Taguig exits, and the newly inaugurated C5 Link Sucat Interchange.
CIC commends TRB
TRB was earlier criticized by some quarters for a few days’ delay in issuing the directive for the toll holiday. Ignacio cited the deliberateness and sober approach of TRB in finally arriving at a major decision. “There is no place for hasty decision-making and action-taking for major policies and moves like this,” he added.
CIC also maintained that personnel deployment would be business as usual during the 30-day toll holiday to ensure the safety of motorists as well as the smooth operation of CAVITEX and C5 Link expressways.
CIC is the private developer, builder, and financier of CAVITEX, in partnership with the PRA under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreement.
