BYD Sealion 7 EV confirmed for MIAS 2026
BYD's answer to the Tesla Model Y will make its Philippine debut later this week

After appearing on the Department of Energy's (DOE) list of recognized electric vehicles (EVs), BYD Cars Philippines distributor ACMobility is set to reveal its newest offering at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
Set to make its Philippine debut later this week is the BYD Sealion 7, an all-electric midsize crossover SUV that combines zero-emissions performance with sleek looks. Billed to have “unparalleled electric performance”, the Sealion 7 for the Philippine market will most likely come with dual electric motors that deliver AWD speed and agility.

Based on what the DOE has released so far, the Sealion 7 will come with dual electric motors that will deliver a combined 530 PS and 690 Nm of torque. Also mentioned is its 82.56 kWh, which gives it a range of up to 456 km, based on the WLTP cycle.
When it comes to dimensions, the Sealion 7 will measure 4830mm long, 1925mm wide, and 1620mm tall. This makes the Sealion 7 a direct competitor to the likes of the Tesla Model Y and makes it slightly larger than the Sealion 6 DM-i.

Speaking of Sealion 6, the Sealion 7 gets a similar look while also incorporating design elements borrowed from the BYD Seal EV. The result is a sleek and dynamic-looking crossover SUV that's also aerodynamic and sporty. The front fascia largely resembles the Sealion 6, while the rear and side profiles will be inspired by the Seal EV.
Get a chance to get a closer look at the BYD Sealion 7 at MIAS 2026, starting April 9 at World Trade Center Manila.
