Aston Martin expands 2025 Vantage lineup with Roadster
Aston Martin reveals 2025 Vantage Roadster for open air driving

Last year, Aston Martin has given the Vantage Coupe a big bump in power and addressed its horsepower concerns. Now that its discerning clientele is satisfied with its performance, it’s time to enjoy that increase in power with the windows down and in open air.
Aston Martin has revealed the 2025 Vantage Roadster, which is essentially the drop-top convertible version of the Vantage Coupe that promises to deliver a world class roof down driving experience like no other.

Rather than reinforcing the coupe’s chassis to compensate for the retractable roof, Aston Martin says the Roadster was a fully developed model in its own right, designed and engineered in parallel with the coupe.
This allowed Aston Martin engineers to keep the Roadster’s weight down relative to the coupe while maintaining its structural rigidity. With the retractable roof coming in a Z-fold configuration, the Vantage Roadster is only 60 kg heavier than the coupe. That’s just like having another passenger inside the Vantage.

The Z-fold configuration of the retractable roof has also allowed Aston Martin to record the fastest fully automatic deployable roof mechanism of any car in the market today. It only takes 6.8 seconds for the Vantage Roadster to fully open or close its roof mechanism, which can be done in different ways – with the driver inside, remotely within a two-meter radius, or even while doing speeds up to 50 km/h.
Elsewhere, the Vantage Roadster receives pretty much the same equipment as that of the coupe. That means things like Active Vehicle Dynamics, Electronic Rear Differential (E-diff), and Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers with bespoke tuning have made their way to the drop-top version.
Like the coupe, the Vantage Roadster for 2025 is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that churns out 665 PS and 800 Nm of torque. The coupe is only 0.1 seconds faster in reaching 100 km/h from a standstill (3.4 vs. 3.5 on the Roadster), but both have a top speed of 325 km/h.

Standard equipment inside is likewise similar, as the Vantage Roadster gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen, plus an 11-speaker, 390-watt audio system that’s upgradeable to an optional premium audio system from Bowers & Wilkins.

Aston Martin says deliveries for the Vantage Roadster will begin by the second quarter of 2025.
