After Bronco, is Ford PH launching F-150 Raptor next?
Ford Philippines gets approval for a pickup truck with a 3.5-liter V6 engine

Ford is going big in the Philippine market in 2024 literally and figuratively. After confirming the launch of the Bronco and Mustang, the Blue Oval could be set to bring back America’s favorite pickup truck – the F-150.
We recently got hold of information that Ford received approval for a light-duty vehicle (aka pickup truck) with a 3497cc gasoline engine. After running through the numbers, we found out that it is Ford’s 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine.

The engine we’re talking about comes as a modular powerplant, as it’s being used in vehicles like the Explorer, the Expedition, the F-150, and even the Ford GT supercar. Furthermore, since we’re talking about the F-150, the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 in the pickup truck also comes in different states of tune.
While we can easily say it’s likely to be the F-150, we’re not exactly sure which variant it will be. There’s the standard 3.5-liter Ecoboost, the 3.5-liter PowerBoost which is a hybrid, and the 3.5-liter High Output that’s found in the F-150 Raptor.
But if we were to take the word of a reliable source from a year ago, we’re betting that it could be the F-150 Raptor. While Ford Philippines has already had the F-150 in its lineup since late 2021, they never officially offered the “hero” variant of the F-150.

As we all know, the F-150 is the “OG” pickup truck that first came with the Raptor moniker. It’s also the first truck to come with Fox Racing shocks, all-terrain tires, and an uprated engine to take on the Baja dunes before Ford decided to do the same with the Ranger which became one of the most popular models of Ford in the Philippines.
With the Bronco and Mustang taking longer than expected to arrive in the Philippine market, this leads us to think that Ford may also eventually bring in the F-150 Raptor. As they say, better late, than never.
