2025 Mazda BT-50 facelift launching in PH soon
The Isuzu D-Max's Mazda twin is getting ready for its Philippine launch

It’s official: Mazda Philippines distributor Bermaz Auto Philippines Inc. (BAPI) has confirmed that its midsize pickup is getting refreshed soon. This comes after the automaker posted a teaser image of the 2025 Mazda BT-50.

Other details regarding the upcoming pickup truck remain a mystery. But based on the teaser image provided, the PH-spec BT-50 facelift will look similar to the ones already available in Australia and Thailand.
Based on our previous story, a well-placed source confirmed with us that the 2025 Mazda BT-50 will be offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 models. More importantly, they shared with us that the PH-spec pickup truck will only get the Isuzu-derived 3.0L 4JJ3-TCX turbo-diesel engine that makes 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. That means, just like the refreshed D-Max and mu-X, we won’t be getting the new 2.2L MaxForce turbo-diesel engine.

Exterior changes we can expect in the 2025 BT-50 include a new CX-5-inspired look, a sportier front grille, refreshed LED taillights, stylish diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a new hero color dubbed “Hero Red Metallic”. As far as amenities are concerned, the updated BT-50 will most likely get a new 9-inch infotainment display with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, USB-C data/charging ports, new black leather upholstery and trim pieces, and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist (TJA).

With Mazda Philippines already teasing the refreshed BT-50, we won’t be surprised if the automaker will officially reveal it in Q2 of this year as they originally planned.
