WRC 2015: Sebastian Ogier wins season finale in Wales
Wales round marks win number eight for Volkswagen's Ogier

Despite clinching the title in Rally Australia, Sebastian Ogier dominated the final round of WRC 2015 in Wales to claim his eighth win this season. The Frenchman later paid his respects his fallen countrymen back home.
"We're happy to finish the season like that from a sporting view, but my mind wasn't really there this weekend. It was hard to carry on after the tragedy in France and our thoughts were with the people. We wanted this victory as our small sign for those who have been touched, and to show we must be even stronger against these things." said Ogier.

Despite the foul weather and heavy rain, Ogier dominated the final round of 2015, finishing 26 seconds ahead of Citroen's Kris Meeke. Instead of chasing after Ogier, Meeke decided to stay put in second place to avoid jeopardizing Citroen's position in the manufacturer's standings. Meeke's work paid off along with team mate's Mads Otsberg's seventh place finish for Citroen to secure runner up in the manufacturer championship. Rounding up the podium is Volkswagen's Andres Mikkelsen.
Mikkelsen however would not finish second in the championship standings as his third place finish in the rally was not enough to unseat VW team mate Jari-Matti Latvala. Even though Latvala had to retire in the early part of the rally, he was able to score maximum points during the bonus special stage, allowing him to keep his second position in the standings.

Hyundai team mates Dani Sordo and Hayden Paddon finished fourth and fifth respectively while local hero Elfyn Evans brought his Ford Fiesta home in sixth. As previously mentioned, Otsberg's seventh place finish was enough for Citroen to be the runner up in the manufacturer standings. Stephane Lefebvre fought hard for his eighth place finish as he drove through the rally while suffering from flu. Completing the top 10 are Robert Kubica and Lorenzo Bertelli.
