Williams F1 Team unveils FW40 racer, celebrates 40 years in Formula 1

The Williams F1 Team, celebrating 40 years in Formula 1, has just revealed their car for the 2017 season. Dubbed the FW40, it gets its name from the team's milestone in the sport and incorporates the latest aero and wheel package to suit the sweeping changes in Formula 1.
Like all Formula 1 racers for this season, the FW40 boasts a wider front wing. On to its side, the side pods have been replaced in favor of turning vanes, adhering to the rules set by the sport's governing body. At the rear, the wing is now wider and set lower while the rear diffuser has been redesigned to allow a greater range of adjustability.
Before the unveiling of the FW40, Williams F1 Team had announced their driver roster. With Valtteri Bottas moving to Mercedes-AMG, Felipe Massa has been brought out of retirement. At the time of writing, he will be racing for the team for one season. Alongside Massa will be rookie Lance Stroll. Last year, Stroll was crowned the European Formula 3 champion and was under the wing of the team as a development driver. Paul di Resta meanwhile will continue to be the team's reserve driver.
The team retains Martini as their major sponsor for yet another year. Also retaining their partnership with the team are Rexona, Transtand, Oris, Avande, and Financial.org. The team will carry on in 2017 with Merecdes-AMG engines.
