Volkswagen takes 1-2 finish while Hyundai takes third in WRC Rally Mexico
Mexico'€™s high-altitude stages deliver a spectacular race in the WRC with VW taking a 1-2 finish, while newcomer Hyundai in 3rd.

Sebatien Ogier lead a strong Volkswagen performance in Rally Guanajuato Mexico and takes a three-point lead in the standings over Jari-Matti Latvala by beating him by 1 minute and 12.6 seconds.
Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville came in a dramatic third place, having o top up his leaking radiator with beer from rally sponsor Corona.
“It was the perfect week, a victory in the rally and the Power Stage. I came here very angry after a small mistake in Sweden and that’s the best way to restart my winning ways in the championship. Now we are looking forward to continuing like that,” said Ogier.
Ogier was strong all throughout the race wining 14 of the 22 stages. His stiffest competition came from Mads Ostberg before he broke his Citroen’s rear left suspension allowing Latvala to climb up.
