This Toyota GR Supra is powered by a V10

Over the years, we've seen crazy builds with the Toyota GR Supra. As early as 2019, some already swapped in a 2JZ from the older A80 Supra. But it seems the builds get even crazier each year. At the 2021 SEMA Show, one of the wildest GR Supras on display was built by professional drifter Ryan Tuerck. For those lucky enough to be at the show in person, you can check it out in person at the Mobil 1 booth (Booth #24433).

What makes Ryan Tuerck's GR Supra different from the others? It has everything to do with the engine that's under the hood. It's not a 2JZ, and it's not a V8 LS-swap – those have already been done before. Instead, Tuerck decided to fit a Judd V10 engine into his GR Supra. And if you check the video above, it sounds amazing.

Sounds like an old Formula 1 car, doesn't it? That's because Judd is famous for building engines for Formula 1 cars, Indycars, and more recently LMP1 cars from the 24 Hour of Le Man's series. The Judd GV4 that's powering the Supra is a 4.0-liter V10 that is currently used in some LMP1 24 Hours of Le Man's racers. According to the Judd website, the engine is good for 740 horsepower and can rev up to 11,000 rpm. The V10 is then paired with a Holinger RD6 sequential gearbox, sending power to the rear wheels.

Aside from the engine, the Supra itself looks very aggressive. Most of the body panels have been swapped out for lightweight carbon fiber, and it's fitted with an HGK body kit; that's not a matte black finish, in case you're wondering. The suspension has been fully modified using Wisefab parts to get it ready for various competitions. As you can expect, the interior is completely stripped out save for a Recaro bucket seat and a full roll cage. Even the dashboard has been replaced with a carbon fiber unit.
