There is a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 in WRC with PH colors
Department of Tourism’s “Love the Philippines” campaign featured in the World Rally Championship

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has found a way to promote the country as a premier holiday destination through motorsports.

The “Love the Philippines” campaign has appeared on a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 that’s run by the PH.ph WRC team, driven by Spanish driver Jan Solans with co-driver and compatriot Rodrigo San Juan.
Now we know what you’re thinking. A Philippine livery with a Spaniard behind the wheel? Well, that’s because San Juan previously read the pace notes to Miguel Diaz – a WRC2 driver who raced under the Philippine flag last year.

The livery made its debut at Rally Sweden, where Solans and San Juan finished 8th in the WRC2 class and 22nd overall.
DOT’s “Love the Philippines” campaign will be featured on the rest of the PH.ph WRC team’s program for the 2024 season, with the next appearance coming in May’s Rally Portugal.
