Team San-Ei bags top honors in 2022 Kadayawan Drag Race
Here are the winners of the 2022 Kadayawan Festival Drag Race

Davao City's recently concluded Kadayawan Festival saw the newly-constructed Coastal Road used as a proving ground to determine who are the region's quickest teams and drivers in the quarter-mile.

Team 1.3 Garage hosted the 2022 Kadayawan Festival drag race and gave away one of the biggest prize pools in professional drag racing in the country.


In the end, it was Salah Bejaoui and Yong of Team San-Ei Trading who emerged victorious in the Quick 8 class. Driving a modified Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Bejaoui clocked in at 10.115 seconds to beat teammate Yong Sugianto in the finals and take top honors.

Meanwhile, in Class A, pre-race favorite Ramon Lorenzo Guerra of GTB Motorsports powered past Mikki Cong of Team DMT with an 11.958-second pass at the quarter-mile. Sid Datukon of Team Jotec completed the podium in third. Datukon also earned a bonus by clocking in the best reaction time of the competition with 0.510 sec.

For Class B, it was an all-Diesel affair as MK Macapodi bested Team San-Ei's Michael Santos by doing a 14.33 second run in his Toyota Fortuner. Team Ground Image's young driver Albert Foro placed third to round out the Class B podium.

Lastly, in the Class C division, it was Jay Lim of Team Ground Image who took the top spot, posting a quarter-mile time of 16.33 seconds to beat Evan Torollo in the finals. Raymond Nieres takes the final podium spot by finishing third.
