Team APEV together with Pikes Peak legend Nobuhiro Monster Tajima presented to the world the Monster Sport E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special to the public last May 20 at Odaiba in Tokyo.

Team APEV together with Pikes Peak legend Nobuhiro “Monster” Tajima presented to the world the "Monster Sport E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special" to the public last May 20 at Odaiba in Tokyo. Team general director Soichiro Fukutake and Toyota president Akio Toyoda was present during the ceremony.
The "Monster Sport E-RUNNER Pikes Peak Special" is team APEV's full electric race car that resembles the lines and features normally found in unlimited-class cars of the PPIHC and prototype cars found racing at Le Mans.
Currently, Tajima holds the record at Pikes Peak after breaking the 10 minute barrier in a Suzuki SX4 Hill Climb Special of Monster Racing with a time of 9:51.278.
