Held annually, the recently concluded World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) at Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia draws entries from around the world and enjoys a huge following. Showcasing record-breaking cars from top international teams and drivers with only one goal in mind, to execute the fastest “one perfect lap” around the track. The extreme motorsports event showcases high-performance, record-breaking racecars that utilize technical innovation with extreme aerodynamics and engineering excellence.

After two days of battle, Todd Hazelwood stood out as he drove the Tanuki S13 all-out, posting a blistering fast 1:18.169 to win the 2025 Yokohama WTAC and the Emtron Pro Class. Formerly known as the ‘Hammerhead’, the purpose-built Nissan S-13 racecar is campaigned by Tanuki Racing, with the rebuild and modifications overseen by GT Auto Garage. For propulsion, it uses a 4.1-liter, VR38DETT engine that puts out 1100 horsepower, replacing the previous SR20VET from the previous season.

Apart from the highly revered Nissan S13 chassis that’s hugely popular among performance enthusiasts, the racecar is also decked out in the iconic HKS oil splash pattern. Featuring a multi-colored aesthetic in shades of blue, green, and purple, it's designed to mimic the appearance of spilled engine oil. This is often used on various HKS racecars and merchandise, including automotive accessories and even model cars.
