SEMA 2022: Nissan Z GT4 makes first public appearance
Nissan unveils all-new Z GT4 at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas

There's a new race car wearing the famous #23 at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Nissan's motorsport division NISMO has officially unveiled the all-new Nissan Z GT4 to the public. First revealed digitally back in September, the new race car now wears a red and black livery that gives it a more menacing look. The Japanese manufacturer has also revealed important details regarding the technical specifications of the Z GT4 as well as its customer racing program.

The Nissan Z GT4 uses the same VR30DDTT engine found on the road car version but has been tuned to produce 450 PS and 600 Nm of torque. In addition, the race car initially weighs 1,410 kg, but when subject to the balance of performance (BoP) defined by the SRO Motorsports Group, the Z GT4 may either get heavier or have its power capped in competition form.

NISMO is set to give the Z GT4 its inaugural race season in 2023 and will provide cars plus technical support to customer teams racing in the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series and Super Taikyu in Japan.

Excluding shipment, handling charges, and taxes, the Nissan Z GT4 costs USD 229,000 (PHP 13.2 million) in North America. And since it's a dedicated race car, it cannot be registered for use on public roads.
With the all-new Z GT4, Nissan is gearing up to write another chapter in the nameplate's rich racing history and legacy.
