Sauber takes the wraps off of the 2015 C34
Sauber plans to do better this year after a disappointing 2014 F1 season

Formula One racing team Sauber has just revealed their C34 race car which the team will use for this year's season.
It now sports a blue and yellow livery and also gets upgrades as last year's car, the C33, did not manage to score a single point. The racing team did not go into specifics, but they focused on three areas to improve upon: performance in slow corners, weight reduction and braking stability. Exterior-wise, it has a new nose design to meet this year's technical regulations, slimmer sidepods and an updated radiator layout.
"2014 was a very disappointing year. However, this is in the past, and we now focus on what comes next. We have learned our lessons and are confident for the new season," said Monisha Kaltenbom, Sauber Team Principal.
The designated drivers for this year will feature an all new lineup, Swedish Marcus Ericsson and Brazilian Felipe Nasr.

Ericsson stated that the team must put their past struggles behind them and instead focus on how to do this year.
"After a difficult season, we want to move forward and fight in the midfield like the team previously did. From a driver’s point of view, I want to continue to learn and establish myself as a Formula One driver. I have the feeling of being in the perfect environment to do so. In Formula One it is difficult to have precise targets, as it depends on the overall package. It is clear that we want to be fighting for points," said Ericsson.
Nasr on the other hand said that he plans to rake in some points for Sauber even though he still has quite a lot of learning to do.
"In my role as test and reserve driver for Williams last year, I was involved in every race weekend. Furthermore, I also had the chance to drive the car a few times, so I think I have a certain understanding of Formula One. Now I am taking the next step in being a race driver, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience from 2014 as well as to supporting the Sauber F1 Team in getting back into the points."
The team will officially field-test the C34 race car come February 1, 2015 at Jerez, Spain.
