Sauber Formula One team driver line-up uncertain
Sauber's driver line-up is in doubt after an Australian court favored ex-reserve driver Giedo van der Garde's bid to race

The driver line-up of the Sauber Formula One (F1) team for this weekend's opening race in Melbourne is uncertain after an Australian court ruled that ex-reserve driver Giedo van der Garde has a valid contract to race for them this year.
For the 2015 F1 season, Sauber signed Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr as the team's official drivers. However, van der Garde has taken legal action against the team where he claimed that Sauber had promised him a race seat.
With just three days before the Australian Grand Prix, the court favored van der Garde's bid to force the Sauber F1 team to let him race.

In response, team principal Monisha Kaltenborn said that they are disappointed with the court's decision.
“We are disappointed with this decision and now need to take time to understand what it means and the impact it will have on the start of our season,” said Kaltenborn.
Sauber added that letting van der Garde race would be unsafe because the team's F1 cars have been “tailored” to suit Ericsson and Nasr.
