Report: Fernando Alonso ready to race in Malaysian Grand Prix
Honda-McLaren driver Fernando Alonso has passed short- and long-term memory tests in Cambridge
After missing out this year's opening race in Melbourne due to injuries, Honda-McLaren's Fernando Alonso is reportedly ready to get back behind the wheel for the Malaysian Gran Prix which will take place this weekend at the Sepang Circuit.
According to The Mirror, the Spaniard has already passed short- and long-term memory tests in Cambridge, UK along with the reflex test. The Mirror added that Alonso was very keen on doing the necessary tests in order for him to be able to compete in this weekend's race.
It is believed however that before Alonso is given the go-signal to get back into racing, he will have to go through several tests in Sepang as well. Among the additional tests is the Impact Test wherein he will be checked if he has fully recovered from his concussion and memory loss.
