Red flag: F1 movie starring Brad Pitt halts filming
SAG-AFTRA strike forces Formula One film to halt production

After making its filming debut at the British Grand Prix, it looks like we won't be seeing Sonny Hayes and the fictional APX GP team in the Formula One grid for a while.
The red flag has been waved for the production of the yet-to-be-officially-named Formula One movie starring Brad Pitt due to the ongoing strike involving a lot of Hollywood writers and actors.

Members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union, which includes Brad Pitt, voted to join members of the Writers Guild of America in going on strike. The union failed to reach an agreement with Hollywood's biggest studios regarding compensation amongst other demands.
Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris were at the back of the grid during the formation lap of the Formula One British Grand Prix, and the production crew already had their own pit garage setup during the F1 weekend in Silverstone. Pitt plays as Sonny Hayes, a driver coming out of retirement to compete alongside a hotshot rookie driver (Idris) against the titans of the sport.

The upcoming Apple F1 movie shows a lot of promise based on the star power of its actors, as well as those involved in making the film. Ehren Kruger, Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer of Top Gun: Maverick respectively serve as the film's writer, director and producer, while Lewis Hamilton also gets his role as a consultant as part of his production company, Dawn Apollo Films.
Filming was supposed to take place at a number of other Grands Prix this season, but there will be no further footage filmed for the movie until SAG-AFTRA and Hollywood's studios eventually reach a deal.
