Red Bull Racing replaces Kvyat with Verstappen
Danill Kvyat to join Toro Rosso, Max Verstappen promoted to Red Bull Racing

It's official, Max Verstappen has joined Red Bull Racing (RBR) after the Milton-Keynes-based team announced his promotion from Scuderia Toro Rosso (STR). Both Verstappen and fellow teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, will be driving for RBR at the upcoming 2016 Spanish Grand Prix.
Danill Kvyat returns to familiar territory with STR where RBR is optimistic he will be able to regain his form after the disastrous Russian Grand Prix. Joining him will be Carlos Sainz.

“Max has proven to be an outstanding young talent. His performance at Toro Rosso has been impressive so far and we are pleased to give him the opportunity to drive for Red Bull Racing,” said Christian Horner, RBR Team Principal.
Horner also said that they are in a unique position of having all four drivers in RBR and STR with long term contracts. According to Horner, this allows the racing team to have the flexibility of switching them with either RBR or STR.

In review, Kvyat caused Red Bull to perform poorly during the 2016 F1 Russian GP after colliding with Ferrari's Sebastien Vettel twice. This earned the Russian racing driver a 10 second stop/go penalty, putting him at the back of the competition. Kyvat only managed to finish the race in 15th place.
