Porsche takes home 2025 DTM Championship with 911 GT3 R
Porsche further proves its motorsports excellence after winning the drivers' and manufacturers' titles of the 2025 DTM

Porsche clinches the 2025 DTM championship with the 911 GT3 R, a racecar that defines the concept, technologies, and capabilities of the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS high-performance road cars. With it, both vehicles from Porsche highlight the brand's success in motorsports as it directly shapes its most track-focused 911 models.
At the DTM’s Hockenheim season finale, Turkish driver Ayhancan Guven secured the drivers’ title while Manthey EMA captured the manufacturers’ crown using the 911 GT3 R. The victories highlighted Porsche’s racing expertise and its seamless transfer to production models for the road.

The 911 GT3 R reflects the same precision and purity that characterize the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS, which are both available at Porsche Philippines. The 911 GT3 comes with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 510 hp and 450 Nm of torque, revving to 9,000 rpm. Its racecar-derived double-wishbone front axle and aerodynamic features, such as a swan-neck rear wing and reworked front end integrating a diffuser, ensure remarkable downforce and balance. These elements are perfected in the DTM-winning 911 GT3 R.
For its part, the 911 GT3 RS is uncompromisingly designed for maximum performance. Also powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that spins up to 9,000 rpm, the output goes up to 525 hp and 465 Nm of torque. The 911 GT3 RS’ performance envelope is pushed considerably further through extreme aerodynamic features, including an active rear wing with a Drag Reduction System (DRS), a fully vented front end, and chassis elements calibrated specifically for high-speed track use.

Thanks to these elements, the 911 GT3 RS generates up to 860 kg of downforce, more than double compared to the previous model. Combined with lightweight carbon-fiber reinforced plastic found throughout its bodywork, center-lock wheels, wider tracks, and a revised cooling layout, all of these contribute to the model’s performance focus.
From the racetrack to the road, the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS prove that Porsche’s motorsport success translates into performance without compromise.
