Policeman, businessman arrested by QCPD in Enzo Pastor slay

A major development has taken place in the investigation concerning the murder of Filipino race car driver Ferdinan "Enzo" Pastor as the alleged mastermind and the gunman have been arrested by the Quezon City Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

After President Aquino, in his State of the Nation address, made this a priority and Mayor Duterte offering a Php 1 million prize for the capture of the suspects, things have started to fall into place.

Just a few days ago the suspected gunman, PO2 Edgar Angel a member of the Pasay City Police, was arrested in an anti-drug operation and that led to the naming of the supposed mastermind in his judicial affidavit: businessman Domingo "Sandy" de Guzman III.

During the interrogation with the QCPD and armed with a solid lead from an informant, Angel admitted to accepting the Php 100,000 contract of de Guzman to shoot and kill Enzo Pastor.

Two pistols were reportedly recovered from de Guzman during the arrest yesterday, Tuesday. He supposedly owns Unique Autowerkes Automobile Designs, a custom car shop in Muntinlupa City.

The investigation continues but the QCPD has indicated that a love triangle may have been the potential motive of the killing. Sources indicate that De Guzman allegedly had an affair with Pastor's wife, Dalia.

Tom Pastor, father of Enzo Pastor, reportedly made his way to Camp Karingal after learning of the arrest. Both suspects are expected to be formally charged before the Department of Justice by this afternoon.
