Pirelli to use new super soft tires for 2015 F1 season
The 2015 super soft tires will be an evolution of the previously used tires from last year

Pirelli, the official tire supplier of Formula One, has just announced that they will be introducing new super soft tires for the 2015 season.
According to Pirelli Motorsport Director Paul Hembery, the new tires will be an evolution of the 2014 model featuring a fresh rear construction using a new compound. Hembery added that the use of the V6 turbo engines last year was one of the biggest hurdles that the tire-maker had to face. Besides being fast, the new engines also registered a different characteristic that Pirelli was not familiar with.
Hembery ended his statement that despite the challenges, Pirelli was able to meet its targets.
“Nonetheless, we met all our targets of helping to provide entertaining races, plenty of overtaking opportunities, diverse strategy options and an average of two pit stops per car at each grand prix, despite the many unknown factors for everybody,” said Hembery.
