Noel Bartolome Jr. wins the 2014 Philippine Tough Truck Challenge as Tonton Dungca wins the 2014 Driver of The Year award

Maxxis Tires, along with the National Association of Filipino Off-roaders (NASFOR) recently finished the 2014 Maxxis 4x4 Cup with the culminating Philippine Tough Truck Challenge last December 7, 2014 in Porac Pampanga. The final leg of the 2014 Maxxis 4x4 Cup saw the victory of Noel Bartolome Jr. at the Philippine Tough Truck Challenge.
The finale was comprised of two tracks labeled Track A and Track B. During qualifying, drivers were given a total of 20 minutes to complete both tracks. The top 20 drivers with the combined best time will then move on to the final run where they will have to traverse Track C, a combination of Tracks A and B.
Noel Bartolome Jr. from the Land Cruiser Club of the Philippines won the race with a combined time of 19:29:91 while finishing second was Omer Dungca from Kapampangan Racing Team (KRT) with a combined time of 19:48:17. Landing third place was Michael Cerin form Davao who finished the track with a combine time of 21:29:06.
With his victory, Bartolome finally sets history by being father-and-son champions of the Philippine Tough Truck Challenge three years after his 2011 near victory.
Winning the 2014 Driver of The Year award went to Edison 'Tonton' Dungca who won last year's award as well making it a back-to-back title victory for the off-roader from Pampanga. Dungca raked with an overall 372 points while following second was Red Diwa from Isabela Extreme with 290 points. Finishing third overall was Noel 'JR' Bartolome who won the final leg of the race.
The event was presented by Maxxis Tires, 199 Off-Road House, Mobil, Toptul and Racetech Suspensions.
