Nissan ZEOD RC makes track debut at Fuji
Prototype to complete 13.68 km lap at Le Mans on pure electric power in 2014

Following the unveiling of the Nissan Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car (ZEOD RC) in June, the prototype ran at Fuji Speedway for its track debut. Former GT1 champion Michael Krumm took control of the ZEOD RC for its first run at Fuji.
In 2014, the Nissan ZEOD RC will complete the 13.68 km lap at Le Mans on pure electric power and with an aim to reach speeds above 300 km/h. The prototype will be able to recharge its battery using regenerative braking while it runs on its internal combustion engine.
After the track debut, it will be brought to United Kingdom to continue the testing and development. The technology derived from this prototype will be used to develop its future LM P1.
"This has been a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved to bring the Nissan ZEOD RC to Japan to present the car at Nismo and then show the car at Fuji Speedway for the fans," Nissan Global Motorsports Director, Darren Cox said.
