Nissan and Nismo took the covers off its 2014 Super GT series GT500-class GT-R Nismo racecar at Suzuka. The new regulations are based on an agreement made with the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) to use similar technical regulations.

Under the new regulations the car will be based on a unified chassis shared with the DTM series that was developed by a European motorsport group based in Germany and Italy. The new chassis is composed of a carbon-fiber monocoque and steel roll-cage and front, rear and lateral crash elements.

The car will have additional exhibition and demonstration runs at the Nismo Festival on December 1 at the Fuji Speedway.
