This year, Motul will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its involvement with the 24 Hours Le Mans and will become the official lubricant partner of the Le Mans Classic event. The Le Mans Classic will welcome more than 500 cars on track and some 8,000 vehicles from car clubs around the globe. The 7th Le Mans Classic was organized by Peter Auto and it will be on July 4 – 6, 2014.

Since 1972, there are 195 cars that have carried Motul’s name and colours at Le Mans which enable the brand to have a firm establishment not just at the 24 Hours Le Mans, but also at the 24H Moto and the Grand Prix de France. With its new ‘official lubricant partner’ status, plus sponsorship of the Le Mans Classic Grid 5 (cars from 1966/1971), Motul will be extending its reach in the historic vehicle market and to the wider public who so appreciate these beautiful classic cars.
Car club members and classic car owners will be able to benefit from Motul’s complete range of historic vehicle lubricants and care products that cater to the specific needs of old classic cars. Like the Motul SAE 30 and SAE 50 which are suitable for engines and gearboxes built between 1900 and 1950, while the 20W50 and 15W50 lubricants are more suited to models produced from 1950 to the 1970s.
Last 2013, during the 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Motul name was well represented through its support of no less than 14 different cars (including the LMGTE Am class winner), grid girls and its own Motul grandstand. The same red and white colours will now be widely seen at the Le Mans Classic from 2014.
