Mick Schumacher will race in Formula 1 next season
Mick Schumacher will race in Formula 1 next season, and he will be driving for HAAS.

It's confirmed. Mick Schumacher will race in Formula 1 next season. He will drive for HAAS alongside Nikita Mazepin, giving the team a clean slate for 2021. Not only that, Schumacher has a multi-year deal with the team, so we know he'll hang around the sport for a couple of years.
“I’m very pleased that we’re able to confirm Mick Schumacher in our driver line-up for next season and I look forward to welcoming him into the team,” said Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner.
“The prospect of being on the Formula 1 grid next year makes me incredibly happy and I’m simply speechless. I would like to thank Haas F1 Team, Scuderia Ferrari, and the Ferrari Driver Academy for placing their trust in me. I also want to acknowledge and extend my love to my parents – I know that I owe them everything,”,” said Schumacher.
This weekend will be Schumacher's first stint with HAAS. He was supposed to test the car during the Eifel Grand Prix, but foul weather put a halt to those plans. He will begin his F1 preparations with an FP1 session with the team at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Aside from that, he will also try to gain valuable seat time at the same track after the end of the current season.
At the moment, he currently leads the Formula 2 championship by 14 points ahead of Callum Illot. So far, he has ten podium finishes that include two wins. Should Schumacher outscore Illot during the feature and main race, he will be crowned the 2020 Formula 2 champion.
