Michael Schumacher 'considered' in stable condition, assures manager Sabine Kehm

In light of recent reports stating that 7-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher is in a much worse condition, his manager, Sabine Kehm has issued an official statement to dispel them as 'pure speculation'. Schumacher remains in stable condition but in medically-induced coma at a Gernoble hospital for treatment after being critically injured in a skiing accident at the Meribel ski resort.

Kehm has assured fans and supporters of the German driver with an official statement saying: "Michael's family is very happy and confident with the work of the team of doctors treating Michael, and they trust them completely. Michael's condition is still considered as stable."

This is the first statement issued by Schumacher’s manager that does not mention the word 'critical', which could mean that his condition is improving.

On January 7, Schumacher’s wife, Corinna issued a statement appealing to the media to leave her family in peace. This comes after media continues to stalk the French hospital to report on the German F1 champion’s condition. There was even one report of a German journalist that disguised as a priest to gain access to the hospital. 

"Please support us in our joint struggle with Michael. It is important to me that you relieve the doctors and the hospital so they can work in peace. Please trust their statements and leave the hospital. Please also leave our family in peace," she said in a statement.

Kehm repeated Corinna’s appeal stating "any information regarding Michael's health not coming from the doctors treating him or from his management must be treated as pure speculation."
