Mercedes-AMG officially reveals 2015 F1 car in Spain
The F1 W06 Hybrid is packed with mechanical, structural, aerodynamic and weight saving developments

After releasing the official photos last week, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One (F1) team has officially revealed its 2015 car in Jerez, Spain.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg took the wraps off the F1 W06 Hybrid. According to Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the F1 W06 Hybrid has undergone an “intensive design phase” which delivers mechanical, structural, aerodynamic and weight saving developments over its predecessor.

In addition, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 executive technical director Paddy Lowe said that the team has also focused into developing the chassis and the power unit of the F1 W06 Hybrid. Aside from these, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team was driven to produce a car that is safer, more efficient, reliable and faster.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Chief Toto Wolff said that the launch of the F1 W06 Hybrid is an “exciting” moment.
“The launch of a new car is an exciting moment for everybody involved. However, there is a long road ahead before we reach the first race. We must build a fast, reliable racing car to be able to compete with rivals whose ability and competitiveness can never be underestimated,” Wolff said.

As previously reported, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W06 Hybrid is powered the company's PU106B Hybrid Power Unit. Rosberg has already tested the F1 W06 Hybrid last Sunday during the four-day preseason testing in Jerez.
